What I Have Learnt Whilst Filming

• When shooting in the evening during September/October, the lighting state changes very quickly. This means you have to be very efficient with the time as different shoots may have different brightnesses and may not match up. This is important as in the trailer these clips will be part of the same scene and won't look realistic if the background lighting is different in each.

• If there is wind or rain, background noise will intercept with the dialogue  you are recording. I need to use 'Dead-cat' which is wind protecter for microphones. This will enable me to have reduced background noise in my clips.

• I have learnt how to develop my skills in photoshop and also learn new skills by working with iMovie. I have had to learn how to use iMovie by teaching myself what elements are available to me, and even the most simple skill of how to place footage onto my timeline. 

• Time management is very important as you may only have limited time with your cast and there have to work quickly to enable continuotty within your shots. 

• I have learnt that, when filming you may have to differ from your script or plan due to what is available to you. This means you may have to adapt other factors within your trailer (e.g-My plan to have the character of Sam to walk across a brick wall had to be changed due to not being able to find a location that suited my needs. Therefore I found a new location a choose to use train tracks instead. 

• It is really important to go and visit your locations first before the day of filming as things may have changed since you last visited the location or it was different to what you imagined it to look like, which may impact on your filming.
